 So somebody posted a picture of these things and now I waaaaant some.  Apparently they come from Australia.  Australian friends, are these good?  They sound good.

I haven't had them and I've never seen them for sale in my fruit and veggie store, but then I've never gone looking. Apparently they can grow this far south but their point of origin is further north.

At the moment they're available from the store I go to's website for AUD$10.29 for a 150g punnet while blueberries are AUD$6.29 for a 125g punnet. It's winter so blueberries are more expensive at the moment.

They would be interesting to try, but I probably wouldn't on a whim at that price.


That probably doesn't answer your question, but it may help explain why you may not find a lot of people who've tried them.

That may be true. Me, I've bought dragonfruit at $10, although since I found them at Wal-Mart for $4.95 I prefer there.

I have seen dragon fruit in that store, so they're rarer than dragon fruit, :)
