Emotional Intimacy Question: Friendship

Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. I'm starting with this list.

16. What do you value most in a friendship?

I value understanding, acceptance, common ground, and interesting differences.  As a corollary, I include intelligence; not all of my friends have been gifted, but the vast majority are.
