Poetry in Microfunding:

"Marks of Devotion" is now complete. Read about Kande's early adventures in the underworld.

"Energy, Made Visible" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Shiv and has 50 new verses. Shiv is doing real live therapy now!

"Only If It Is Embraced" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Damask.  Ham grumbles over the arrangements.

The weather has been slightly cooler on some days, and we finally got a bit of much-needed rain. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: sparrows, mourning doves, several cardinals, a pair of goldfinches, a pair of house finches, and an indigo bunting.  A mourning dove is nesting under the kitchen window and has two white eggs.  In bloom: pink chives, marigolds, gazania, blue lobelia, white alyssum, zinnias, sage, yarrow, torenia, salvia, cleome, petunia, million bells, snapdragons, lantana, coreopsis, dianthus, peppers, blackberries, borage, lamb's ear, comfrey, and sundry others.  Raspberries, crabapples, and cherries have green fruit.  Mulberries have pink fruit.  Serviceberry has quite a lot of red fruit, which is ripe enough to eat but not as ripe as it could be.  I suspect the birds will eat it at this stage -- it rarely turns dark like it's supposed to.  I have finished planting everything from the current batches.  \o/
