Saturday Yardening

Today is mostly sunny and hot.

We went out to buy 6 more bags of potting soil.  I used most of the first two bags to fill the two big square containers, then planted the four cherry tomato plants in there.

Round Two: I potted up the mixed lettuce in a larger ceramic pot.  Then I planted the flowers that belonged in the barrel garden.  These include a pink-and-white spackle petunia, a yellow-and-white million bells, a yellow and orange lantana, some tall red thing, and four assorted snapdragons.

Round Three: I planted three Darrow blackberries in the berry patch at the end of the prairie garden, covered, mulched, and watered them.
