I restocked on thistle seed and also got a new thistle sock with a top and bottom shield. At the same place I got three new planters: a big trough and two big square ones. I plant to put peppers in the trough and cherry tomatoes in the squares.
My parents took us to Danville gardens. I got 5 flats of assorted plants, mostly herbs, vegetables, and a few larger flowers. They didn't have much in multipacks this year. >_< I also found an ironwork tower in a nice pewter finish to prop up the wild grape vine that sprouted near the white garden at the end of the driveway. So I have an enormous amount of planting to do. Fortunately, some of the plants are in 4-inch or quart pots, so they'll last longer without being potted up. The ones in multipacks will need to be planted sooner, along with the bareroot seedlings already waiting.
On the way home, we stopped at Dr. G's Brain Store and picked up Evolution. I think it will be fun to play.
We went back to Ashar too. We got the dried crawfish, honey beans, teff flour, pineapple guava and pineapple ginger juice. The ginger definitely packs a punch. You can see the sediment on the bottom, so shake it up. Any time there's enough ginger to precipitate like that, it's usually good.
Harvest Market had yellow dragonfruit! :D I am so excited. I really look forward to trying this.
I'm tired, but it's been a very productive day.
