Wednesday Yardening

Today is sunny, hot, and windy. 

Doug started mowing -- he did the ritual meadow, part of the south lot, part of the yard nearest the house, and some paths in the savanna and prairie garden.  Now we have robins everywhere combing over the grass after insects.  :D

After lunch we shoveled ash out of the firepit because it's supposed to rain.

Lilacs are blooming.  So are crabapples, although it looks like the old one is dying.  Most of the blooms are on a seedling it has made nearby.
