Birdfeeding

When I went out to feed birds today, I walked around the yard and discovered a freshly dug rabbit nest.  At the time it was empty except for some dried grass.  Now there is a rabbit digging it bigger.

Today is mild and partly sunny.  The birds are active.  I've seen lots of sparrows and several cardinals.

My yard has broke out in a rash of daffodils--despite us having had snow three times last week.
:^)
Mine are barely beginning to bloom. Most only have buds yet.
Anticipation makes it all the sweeter.

This is true. I love walking outside in the spring because everything is changing so fast, after a winter of not much change, and there's always something new to see. :D
I tried to buy daffodils with as wide a set of blooming times as I could. My last daffodils finish blooming in early May usually.
This year, my earliest ones got cranked up the first week in March.
:^}

I like to spread out the blooming times too. I've bought a few daffodils myself, but most are naturalized ones from my father. Sometimes he gets mixed ones, other times all the same kind.

This year's actually a lot closer to the old blooming times, which were later, than the newer trend toward blooming much earlier.
