Makes me wonder if that program they had going to see if they could breed corals to withstand warmer temp's is having any luck.

Also, I wonder if anyone's tried to establish corals further north/south in waters that were previously too cold for them?
Shouldn't be too terribly hard to do,(says the woman who's only ever seen live corals on TV).

I would expect some success in establishing corals farther poleward, but not as much as in tropical regions. It's not just about water temperature but also depth, salinity, sunlight -- and the whole ecosystem of the reef.
