Elizabeth Alexander has been selected to read a poem at Barack Obama's inaugural swearing-in ceremony on January 20th. She is a prize-winning poet at Yale University. Her website can be found here.

I need to post about this Inauguration; I was armwavy over Warren until I saw who'll be giving the last word, and from then on I've felt much better. (And squishy feelings are, of course, the only way to decide in political matters. *laugh at myself*)

*nod* Oh, me neither. The thing is, I've seen a fair number of people saying that in order to think well of him they do have to like all the people he works with and every decision he makes, and, well, I don't know how useful such a position will be for anyone. But anyway; in the intervening time I wrote my post.
