Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do?

Nothing hard is going on right now just a whole lot of TEDIOUS.
Cleaning, straightening, and re-organizing is always tedious since there's so much of it to do. (We have company coming next week so we have to be presentable.)
Wednesday afternoon's chore was separating out a huge pile of old magazines to give to the Goodwill.

One task I'm not looking forward to is thinning out my closet and that's never an easy task for a packrat like myself.
Of course, I've been saying this for the past few years now...

My housekeeping standard is, a) can you find the floor and b) is it better than it was?

;)

Thank Heaven for gravity!
I swear there's nothing like gravity for helping you find the floor!
;^D
One of the few reliably awesome things about living planetside. Until you forget and park your coffee cup sensibly in midair, only to have it rush away from your hand quite rapidly to smash itself against the wall called "floor."
That depends on how high it's piled up.
LOL!
Back when we first looked at our house, I fell in lust with the huge storage closet located off the den (den was a carport that had been enclosed and the utility room became another closet) and I spoke admiringly of it being large enough to hold a multitude of sins. From that moment onward, that closet of mine has been referred to as my "sin closet"!
:^D
;)

On that topic, a computer is a hoarder's best friend.
If everything I have stored on my computer was printed out, I'd have enough full notebooks to fill up several large bookcases.
Heck, who am I trying to kid? I could probably start a small library with it all!
;^)
