Garden Photos 6-26-17

I took a bunch of pictures today.


Here is the barrel garden.
The barrel garden is blooming.

If you look closely, you can see both morning glories (darker green, heart-shaped leaves) and moonflowers (yellow-green, pointier tips) climbing the pole.
The yellow-green, long-heart-shaped ones are moonflower leaves.

The pepper is almost ripe.

These green apples are growing on the birdgift tree.

The lamb's ear is blooming again.

Daylilies in the patch by the road are almost done.

Cleome is doing really well in the white garden this year.

Yucca is done blooming and the pods are getting big.

Originally, I planted white echinacea in the white garden.  However, it's reverting to the natural pale pink color.

The allium is setting seeds.

Daylilies by the old fishpond are still blooming.

Morning glories are sprouting alongside the moonflowers.

The wildflower garden is looking more gardenish the more echinacea blooms.

Yarrow is still blooming, but starting to turn brown.

Look at all this echinacea.  :D

There is a Japanese beetle on this one.

Here you can see the cone beginning to develop as the petals droop.  The actual flowers are tiiiiny yellow things you can just barely see in a ring.  They creep along the center as the blossom matures.

Lovely, lush pix, thanks for posting. As a personal bias, it's pleasing to see no succulents. Waaaaay too many succulents here in hot middle CA!

*blushes* Pretty sure the houseplant that I thought was a philodendron for decades is a pothos. It's turned leggy and sporting yellow leaves, but the tip shows new growth. I put it outdoors and maybe it'll spruce up in a spot with daylight but no direct sun. It's a legacy plant from my mom's estate and I sure hope it lives.

I have a very few succulents. I like them, but they don't survive well here. I had some hens-and-chicks in the Goddess Garden but they died out, so I'm trying thyme (so far, so good). I have some sedum in the purple-and-white garden, which I added to the septic garden because it doesn't seem to get eaten. But that's all I can think of currently.

Thanks! My son has the other legacy plant, a schefflera, which is going great guns.
