Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do?

I'm going to have to go another round with our new health insurance company. These folks are even more unpleasant to have to deal with than the last bunch were.

One chore that I'm about to have to deal with is planting all my new apple rootstock trees! It will be tedious--there are 25 of them--but I enjoy being outside at this time of year.

Good luck with that. It's an inherent conflict of interest; people need health care and insurance never wants to pay for any of it. They save a great deal of money by making the process too miserable for people to endure. So it's really "Insurance."

Yay, planting!
