I like this a lot - working out the kennings was fun.

Somehow this one doesn't seem to have appeared on Dreamwidth.

That's because DW eats spaces. I should post a pointer though.

My solution for that is no-break spaces alternating with regular spaces.
"&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;" makes five spaces.
But be careful when editing. On some platforms, including, I *think*, LJ and DW,
a no-break space edited in rich text view rather than HTML view turns into a regular
space, and then all the spaces get smashed together as you've described.

Same for me. I love alliterative verse, though I'm most familiar with the Anglo-Saxon kind, and have composed alliteratively mostly therein.
