Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do?

I've made a list of things I've wanted to do since forever and made it as gifts to younger clockworkladys. All the things I wanted at a certain age, didn't get and would still like. For every age from 9 to 18. There's also a 'cheap and easy' option at each age for getting started, like buying albums or finishing books/films/anime/manga/shows. It's stirred up some complicated emotions, as it would.
Before this, I did visit my former primary (grade) school and finally felt like it couldn't hurt me anymore. Maybe even that it wasn't picking a scapegoat anymore. Going to my closed-down former high school didn't help so much. Now that the nearby university has recently started turning it into a Nursing department, maybe going there again when it has life in it will help more.

That's progress.
The last few months, medically speaking, I've been doing All The Things. It seems as if every body part has its own doctor, sometimes. ;( My main doc's been heavily pushing the colonoscopy, so we're looking into who takes our insurance.
