Auxiliary Thanksgiving

Tonight is our auxiliary Thanksgiving, so members of our local community can share the holiday together before dispersing to family obligations later in the week. The Amazing Mango Ham is cooking in the oven while the Delectable Turkey of Gratitude is cooking in the roaster. Doug made ambrosia and that's in the fridge chilling. Corn, peas, and mashed potatoes will be made shortly along with a pear cobbler. Another friend is bringing an extra dessert and someone else has plans for potato soup. Already the air in the house smells very edible.

Have a lovely evening!
Enjoy! Ours is Saturday after T-giving.
Ambrosia, eh? Recipe?
I don't think we really had one. Um ... I remember a cup of mini marshmallows, a cup of shredded coconut, a large can of mandarin orange slices, a large can of pineapple chunks, a jar of stemless marascino cherries, and a small carton of sour cream.
Oh, that's not what I thought you meant at all. :-0
There are many different things that go by that name. Some are more edible than others. This one is pretty good.
I thought you meant a kind of drink. I was picturing something like spicy apple cider.
