Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

Getting broken kitchen appliances fixed as well as get my riding mower given its spring maintenance (since it looks like I'll probably be mowing before April).
While all of this isn't hard to do, it's boring and tedious.

Blargh.

Our local shop has a service you can sign up for to do maintenance in late winter, rather than waiting for the spring rush. Which means he should come pick up our mower any time now.

Same here. I wanted my mower's maintenance done while the repairmen were bored rather than flooded with work.
My daffodils are coming up--how about yours?
