Good News

Good news includes all the things which make us happy or otherwise feel good. It can be personal or public. We never know when something wonderful will happen, and when it does, most people want to share it with someone. It's disappointing when nobody is there to appreciate it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our joys and pat each other on the back.

My wife's stomach surgery to help her lose weight on September 8th went well. It's part of an experimental program run by Johns Hopkins to block an artery that carries the 'hungry' hormone to your stomach.

My boyfriend went to the dentist last week and was able to get one tooth removed (dental clinic at hospital only does one). He's likely to need another tooth removed and some cavaties filled, but he's gotten the ball rolling after a little over a decade of not going as it was previously just pain for his chalky baby teeth. He's 24 now and last went when he was 10 or 11. He's been a bit dizzy from not being able to eat very much for a month due to a possible recurring infection from the tooth (the one that was pulled out and was infected), but he's got through it all.
