Tuesday Yardening

Today we picked up sticks in the backforty part of the yard.

I also stopped to watch the honeybees to-ing and fro-ing in front of their hive.  :D

Round two: picked a handful of blackberries.

Two new flowers are blooming in the prairie garden.  One is a black-eyed susan.  The other I don't recognize: very tall with large jagged leaves and small yellow daisylike flowers at the top.  It might be a cup plant.

We have a lot of the miniature bumblebees currently working my catmint and lots of butterflies working the front flowerbed with all its butterfly bushes.
:^)
Every time we walk by the big pond at the nature preserve [the pond rimmed by star-like hibiscus] & look inside the hibiscus blooms, there's at least one bee per bloom, taking care of business.
It's good to see plenty of bees.
