Nov. 28-29 = Buy Nothing Day

Buy Nothing Day: In North America, it's on November 28; elsewhere, November 29. Plan to do something that doesn't cost money.

How appropriate that it's Black (eye) Friday.
I've taken part in Buy Nothing Day every year dating back to my (sooner forgotten) days working retail. I highly recommend it for a variety of reasons (acting symbolically against consumerism, avoiding crowds, gaining a day of rest after Thanksgiving, giving a break to the poor overworked [or soon to be overworked] retail employees, and so forth).
That should be easy. BTW, I friended you.
Heh... That's around the time of my Mum's birthday... No way I'll get away with buying nothing!
This kind of activism could be very bad for the economy right now. I'm not advocating going out and buying a bunch of stuff you can't afford, but boycotting spending altogether is only going to make economic forecasts worse.
No. LOL More than half of my year is comprised of "buy nothing" days. Therefore, I've already done my part. ha!
