Wednesday Yardening

Round one: walked around the yard with the tree guy to talk about the most important stuff we need to have done, like cutting limbs away from the house and over the driveway.  Plans are in action and they'll get our project when they can.  \o/

Round two: went back out to trim grass around the barrel garden and the Japanese red maple.

We had to get tree people out earlier this year, to remove branches that were too close to the power lines. They were pricier than I liked, but were fast, efficient, & cleaned up after themselves, including mulching cut branches. Best of all, they said our water oak [the best front yard shade tree on the block] is very healthy.
Part of what got this going for us was the power company coming out to trim all the trees within reach of the lines. So we got all that work done for free.
That's a nice start!
