Thank you!

I try to find furnishings that match each character's personality. You can tell a lot about someone by the type of desk or couch they select. Ansel's home office is a very masculine refuge with deep earth tones, real wood and leather, and woodsy designs. His girlfriend Janie, being a handywoman, feels equally at home there. So are most of their friends -- it's the indoor downstairs living room, used as adjunct social space to the outdoors and the living floor above. But Ansel doesn't invite everyone into it. Given Turq's attachment to the outdoors, I think this is a more welcoming place than bright modern fixtures would make.

Re: Thank you!

Yes *looks around* that's what we've tried to do in here... brass and wood and warm, colourful but elegantly so...

Re: Thank you!

Go you.

Conversely, my home office has an uplifting color scheme of medium to light wood and warm yellow-gold tones. Higher energy, more work. :D The adjacent living room has the woodsy look with green shag carpet, dark woodwork and half-paneled walls, and blue-green furniture.

Re: Thank you!

We did use a bright yellow paint in here; the last thing pocketnaomi wanted was for this to *look like* a dim basement apartment; between the tons of lights and the colour scheme, it totally doesn't. \O/
