To my conservative friends...

... I hear that McCain gave a classy concession speech. Bravo.

Now, what can I do to help you feel safe and heard?

I want America to be balanced and whole again. I want all of us to be part of that. I'm hoping that Obama will stick to what he said (that I gakked from puffbird's page) earlier tonight:

"To those of you whose support I have not won, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hope to earn your respect, and I will be your president, too."

I was exceedingly impressed with McCain's speech last night. It was beautiful and respectful. I like McCain overall, and I wish we had seen more of THAT McCain during the campaign.

Obama's speech was flat-out amazing. I could barely contain myself.

I want the same America you do. I want an America that is respectful of one another, that cares about the world around it. America really is a great nation - and I'm happy I chose to live here - and I think it can show the world that once again.

I wish we'd seen more of that McCain during the campaign as well. That was a lot closer to the McCain I liked in 2000.
