Introvert Time

If you are an introvert, or have friends who are, life may be greatly improved by introducing an awareness and accommodation for this in your interactions.  "Introvert Time" offers some effective methods.  In my circle, we use "all peopled out."  I've also had friends say, "I love you all dearly.  Please go away now."

Actually I LIKE this idea.
I'd rather be told by someone that they are "all peopled out" than to have them avoid me or tell me lies.

I agree.

I despise a majority of etiquette because it involves other people lying to me and demanding that I lie to them. This impedes communication, reliability, and healthy interactions. Fine. I'll avoid them instead, as much as feasible. I resent not being able to have more honest interactions.
Honesty doesn't hurt nearly as much as lies "told to let me down easy".

"Introvert time" is kind of like a safeword for socialization. Which reminds me of something else I read about on Tumblr once ages ago, that Brooke and I now use: a safeword for conversation. When one of us is feeling triggered by the conversation, we can say "Spleen" to let the other know this quickly. It's very useful, as long as one doesn't overuse it.
