Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently?

Fighting off a bout of depression brought on by grief at losing Calidor, and restarting writing.
*hugs* My sympathies.

I am delighted to see you back in writing though!

Even my brother wants me to quit a job that is making me miserable. He's even given me a deadline.
I have to call up the Australian welfare office next week and see what the consequences of quitting are and see what the Fair Work Ombudsman can advise me on. I have enough savings to cover my needs for three months, the welfare office may be with-holding benefits for two months. I'm calling to ask about exceptions. I've been applying almost everywhere and was even lucky enough to get interviews at this time of year. I've also had ten driving lessons, which is a good start at least. Getting my license will make all of the difference in finding a new role.

Good luck with it.
