Watch for Domus Doli

estaratshirai is doing NaCoWriMo. Watch for her to post more of Domus Doli. It is insanely hilarious and vice versa. It looks like surreal soap opera combat intrigue ... um, probably has vampires in it. The characters had a little disagreement about the contents to come. Do not read with mouth full or in places requiring silence.

The first time I read this post, I thought it said "Nanowrimo," and I thought nothing of it. Now, seeing it again, I see it says NaCoWriMo, and is something entirely different from what I thought it was.
Yes, National Novel Writing Month has spawned some interesting offshoots. I'm in favor of anything that makes it possible for people to get in some serious writing practice.

You know what? Size does matter. To get big jumps in skill, you need massive amounts of practice. So 50,000 words is a great goal. If you do that once, you're well on your way. Do it several times and you should have the skills pretty well set, needing only gradual refinement, assuming you make an effort to keep moving forward and not just repeat the same thing over and over.
Oh, bless you. :D Meanwhile...there's really a NaCoWriMo? I was just making a pun. Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
It doesn't seem fully official yet, and seems polygenetic, but it's likely to grow. You might consider making a LiveJournal community or other website for it and encouraging more people to participate. One page/day seems like a suitably insane goal for NaCoWriMo.

Also, someone made a post over on crowdfunding regarding NaNoWriMo, who's participating this year, and possible ways of making it lucrative. You might take a look and see if anything appeals for NaCoWriMo.
(This is Estara on the webcomic account, obviously.)

I'd kind of feel like I was cheating, since in fact, while #32 just went up today, I've shot into the 40s and scripted into the 70s. So I've got "a page a day up through November" almost down already. Then again, maybe it will keep me motivated to write the next story arc. :D

(And also, because it's a photo comic, which means it's a lot quicker than it is for people who draw their panels out by hand. I would be dreadful at that.)
So only count it if you complete a new story for this comic during November, totalling at least 30 pages.
