Bats vs. Crocodiles

Meanwhile in Terramagne, downstream of those idiots trying to gengineer better exotic pets ... this shit happens.  Yes, super animals are rare. But when you have have hundreds of crocodiles and millions of bats, and somebody spills zetetic mystery goo in the water, that is a lot of dice to roll.

and this would be why SPAZMAT gets paid really well, and has a great health benefits package! Can you imagine wading into that swap to clean up the mess!.

Exactly why. 0_o SPAZMAT would need super assistance to take out at least the alligators first, and preferably the bats. But it would be hard to get rid of that many bats able to shoot back.

Depends on the species of bat... but basically, you wait until they roost, then deal with them, using explosives and large quantities of flammable liquids. Preferably before they clean out the swamp and move into the city!

And yeah, that's got 'cheesy disaster movie plot' written all over it!
