There's always the closet...
I think I'd like one on a pulley system, so I could also use the floorspace.

The pulley system is really clever! Japanese houses often have beds that roll or fold up for that reason. But hoisting it up to the ceiling would really get it out of the way. *laugh* And remove the temptation to leave clutter "under the bed."

Just looking at them gives me motion sickness. :( I don't mind the suspended part, just the fact it could sway.

Oh, I can just imagine the hilarity that would ensue once my Moosedog tried to climb into that bed with me!!
