The weather here has been waffling between warmer and cooler, wetter and dryer. Snow crocus, snowdrops, and daffodils are blooming. Lilacs, honeysuckles, and gold currant are leafing out. Buds are swelling on maples and forsythia. There are two mourning dove nests: one next to the kitchen window under the patio roof (two eggs), and one in the crotch of a walnut tree (one egg).
A very confused rabbit wound up within a few feet of me yesterday while I was out taking snapshots. You know how I've explained that if I'm not paying attention to which universe I'm standing in, I tend to become invisible? It's not just for humans. It affects wildlife too. I got to see the rabbit make the "WTF?! Where did you come from?!" face before running like hell. Well, at least I didn't step on this one.
