Moment of Silence: Author Terry Pratchett

Terry Pratchett has passed away.  I enjoyed some of his books, and particularly his portrayal of witches.

While fans may mourn his departure from this world, Death must be downright ecstatic -- he has so few friends, it's nice to pick up someone who's appreciative instead of abusive.  I hope they have a jolly good ride.

I hope Death of Rats behaves himself not to mention that raven! :o)
The one I'd worry about is the Death of Fleas.
He left a last short story which his friend and amenuensis published

Aww! I had only seen the first line quoted. *sniffle* That's adorable. I am so happy for them! It's why I didn't write an epitaph this time: it was already done.
Yes. (Though Death might also have enjoyed meeting Carolyn Heilbrun, Joan Aiken, George Peters...and quite a few of their generation, actually.)
Because I would not stop for Death, He kindly stopped for me....

Surely Death has met some others along the way who did not fear Him.
Occasionally he does, and it's always a welcome pleasure. It's just not very common in most modern cultures.
