  • What was the reason you came to this blog?
  • Did you find what you were looking for?
  • What else would you like to see at this blog?

  • I'm interested in hearing your thoughts.

I took some pictures of my yard today. Read about what makes a good wildlife yard and Fieldhaven as habitat. The larger brush pile is still…

    • Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and delightfully mild. I fed the birds. I've seen a small flock of house finches and a few sparrows. I walked around the yard…

    • Fieldhaven as Habitat

If you follow my posts on gardening, birdfeeding, and photos, then you know that I garden for wildlife. Looking at the YardMap parameters, here…

Pretty simple, actually. I saw a post that someone echoed from your LJ, came here, saw more that I enjoyed [points of view, information, etc] and setteled down to see what else may pop up.

Nothing big or Earth shaking. Just reading enjoyment. I like seeing other people's persepctives.

    1. I have no idea. Can't remember. I have the memory of a goldfish.
    2. Probably, but I also found a heap of interesting stuff I wasn't looking for. :D
    3. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm considering taking notes.

    Nutty
(nowhere near as organised enough to pull off such a good job)
I have the memory of a goldfish.

"*Humming* Oooh, an awesome castle! Oh no, where'd it...? *Humming* Oooh, an awesome castle! Oh no, where'd it...? *Humming.* Oooh, an awesome castle! Oh no, where'd it...? *Humming*"
    Yeah, pretty much :D

I think you know my answer -- I consider you a friend and even without the blog I am always emailing you stuff. I enjoy your writing. there you go!
I don't remember how we met, aside from I think you found my blog first. You friended me, and I was like, "Cool, another friend!"* Then one day I noticed your name, remembered you'd once edited PanGaia, and got even more interested in your blog because of it.

    * = And a friend with very interesting posts, too. I enjoy your stuff.
I think I may have spotted you on the Otherkin community, or somewhere like that. I remember you were talking about being an aspected personality, and I have an interest in that.

I came here by accident. You made a post in an add-a-friend community I forget the name of that was an lj featured community. You seemed to have some interests and concerns in common with me, so I added you.
I'm glad I did. You make this a welcoming place.

I was not looking for anything in particular, except maybe some interesting words to read. I think I found them...

As to what I would like to see - or rather not see)- I know that you citizens of the USA have an important decision to make soon, that affects not only yourselves but the rest of us too, and it's a good thing that you are considering and discussing and arguing for one view or another, but I'll be really happy when it all disappears off my friend's list.
I actually wanted to friend you for a while, because you sound interesting and that I noticed that you edited PanGaia (a magazine I used to read). I think I replied to your post once before though. Can't remember which one.

Then, I saw your nick again and thought "I am going to friend her." And I did.

Thoughts about witchcraft, gardening? And gender studies? We share a lot of interests> :)
This is all good to hear.
I was first attracted to your blog because of the Poetry Fishbowls. Great idea, great output, I thought...and then I found we had other interests in common, such as cooking and herb gardening. Then some of your conversations sparked off an explosion or three in my brain, such as the time I had the "marriage epiphany." At that point I decided I liked it here and pitched my tent on the edge of your journal's terrain. ;-)
I have a lot of fun with the poetry fishbowls. I've gotten some excellent poems, some of which have since sold. Yay, groceries! I'm glad it's attracting new audience members, too.
    # What was the reason you came to this blog?

You commented... um... somewhere and I realized you were ELIZABETH BARRETTE, whom I'd heard of since, um, 1993? I was all awed and fangirl-y, and wanted to see who you really were and see if I could absorb coolness by proximity.

    # Did you find what you were looking for?

Oh, yes! I mean, maybe not the absorbed coolness, but it turns out you are interesting and a wealth of information and thoughtful debate.

    # What else would you like to see at this blog?

More of the same, I suppose. I'm a little OVER the politics right now, but that's because of other blogs as much as yours. I'm a big girl and can skip what I don't care to read.
Aw, shucks. You're gonna make me blush!

I'm glad that you're enjoying the company and the writing. And hey, I think you are cool. After all, you run an art gallery. Galleries are cool.
