Interesting article to read.
Unfortunately I can't weigh in on it because I stopped watching even cable TV some 4-5 years ago. (There was never anything on that I wanted to watch and when there was, the program would be so cut up with commercials that I'd lose track of what was going on in the TV show and I'd stop watching.) These days it's something from Netflix or the library. I still prefer reading for the most part.
Something I wanted to ask you about:
What is a "red-herring trap"?
I know what a red herring is but not when used with trap...
Thanks,
:)
Admittedly that's a problem of shows which run for a long time. Different kinds of writers think up the stories, different characters come and go and in later episodes, there's no single word about them. Although in realistic spheres, there should be a word about them because human brain doesn't totally forget about its associates that fast. It would add to the dramatic aspect, but that's completely left out.
Hey, I'm throwing a writeathon on the idea of thanks and gratitude! I always look forward to your prompts!
