Poetry News

Some tidbits of news from the Poetry Fishbowl ...

Because there is so much unsold stuff in Polychrome Heroics, the half-price sale will include an option for a quarter-price sale if you spend $100 or more.  At that level you're getting poetry for $.25 on the dollar.  (Yes, I can afford it.  I want my writing to be seen and enjoyed.  Also merry bundles of cash keep our household afloat.)  It also puts you at k-fan status if you are not already there, which gets you a series collection at the end of the year.  Budget accordingly if this interests you.

[personal profile] lynnoconnacht and LJ user Natasiakith are helping me improve the organization for this series so that folks can tell which poems belong together in a related storyline and what characters appear in which poems.  You can see a rough draft of the storyline guide on my website.

At this stage it would help to know how you're using the series page and what information is most useful to you.  Originally I started out listing poems in my best guess of chronological order.  That worked fine when it was just Damask and a couple of extras, but currently we have three major  storylines (Damask, Danso & Family, Antimatter/Stalwart Stan) plus some smaller or more eclectic ones, so it's more erratic now.  Is the overall series chronological order still of interest to you or do you only care about inline order within a single storyline?  Would you like to have a list of which characters appear in each poem?  Is there anything else that you really-really want?

I haven't had time to do this kind of value-added recordkeeping myself -- I'm treading soup just to keep up with the minimum I need for my organizational purposes -- but I'm happy to swap poetry to fans who have the time and skill to put this stuff into a format that I can paste into a page.  "A Little Something Extra" is Natasiakith's perk.

Some stuff only I can do.  Some stuff I could delegate but don't always think to ask people to do for me.  Some stuff I actively plan to delegate, like getting someone to host the linkback poem on fishbowl days.  So if you have ideas for things you might be able to do to help, you can always ask me.
