Wow, their attempt to map "move forward and let others do the same" onto "live and let live" is full of fail. Those are completely different pieces of advice.

I'm familiar with the latter but not the former. What is intended by the former? Is it more apologize/forgive and move on, or ...?

I'd translate it more as "make peace with who you and your neighbor are, don't drag out things that need to end".
