Gittip Problems

Well, this is irritating.  Gittip is a platform that enables small weekly payments, explicitly aimed at helping people pay bills because bills are regular and thus benefit from regular income.  Trouble is, the folks behind the platform are unsupportive in ways that make it hostile to women and minorities.  *headdesk*

Almost as irritating as change.org going after right-wing radical business. Grump. Hey. I gotta idea. I have an entrepreneur friend who has pretty much the opposite demographic from this jerk: Radical feminist lesbian. Maybe we can *do something* about this.
That sounds awesome. I'm happy to help develop new crowdfunding platforms. Holler me if you need my kind of brainstorming, sounding board, comparison of current services and their gaps, etc. Some chronic shortages are any kind of cyclic payment for ongoing creative projects or worthy causes, and sites that both host content and enable payment for it so as to build up a pool of content providers and supporters.
