Do you listen to Welcome To Night Vale? There're a couple of Valentine's Day episodes wherein the town of Night Vale experiences a horrible massacre. In the second V-Day episode, right after the first one, Cecil talks about the clean-up effort, during which they brought in bomb disposal units to defuse several errant valentines. Several responders died before the bomb disposal units could arrive.

Welcome To Night Vale is also responsible for this gem: "If we had meant "on the skin above your heart" we would have said so. Now, quit squirming, put your hand on your heart, and repeat after me."

It's from their Twitter feed. Not in any of the episodes, but it's the kind of stuff that they would have in the episodes, maybe as one of their weird "today's proverb" bits.

My favorite Night Vale proverb is 'The present tense of “regret” is “indecision.” The future tense of “fear” is either “comedy” or “tragedy.” And the past tense of “toast” is “toasted.” '
