Poetry Fishbowl Report for January 7, 2014
This month's theme was "It seemed like a good idea at the time."  I worked from 12:30 PM to 4 AM, so about 13 hours 30 minutes, allowing for breaks.  I wrote 12 poems on Tuesday and another 3 later.  There were a lot of epics, along with assorted shorter poems.  Most were free verse but I also got a very fine ballad.

Participation was sluggish.  Only 14 people sent prompts.  There were 37 comments on LJ and another 7 on Dreamwidth.  Please welcome new prompter ideealisme, whom you have to thank for the second freebie.

Buy some poetry!
If you plan to sponsor some poetry but haven't made up your mind yet, read the unsold poetry list from January. That includes the title, length, price, and the original thumbnail description for the poems still available.

Currently sponsored poems have all been posted.  Backchannel copies have been sent to prompters.  Per the $200 goal, "A Joy Forever" is the free epic.  Per the $250 goal, that's one tally toward a bonus fishbowl.  Per the $300 goal, "The Jump Gates" is bonus material for The Blueshift Troupers.  If you click on the project link, you can find all the developmental poems I've been writing to flesh out the setting and characters.

Donors this month included ideealisme, janetmiles, Anthony & Shirley Barrette.  Please welcome new donor ideealisme.  The donor perk is "Decisions and Consequences," posted first on Dreamwidth since the LJ custom group function is still borked.

The Poetry Fishbowl project also has a permanent landing page.
