Poem: "Sharp Notes"
Sex and Partnership
Great Horned Owl
What Is Steampunk?
Recipe: "Wild Tidy Joes"
Transgender Day of Remembrance

The half-price sale in the series Fledgling Grace went well.  All but one of the poems sold.  I have updated the series page.  You can find links to the new poems there or by visiting the sale page.

This week's cool new project is designing a television show about a team of human shapeshifters who travel the galaxy solving problems, with each planet having a different ethnic population. There is also a later discussion about some key points of the show.  Drop in, join the worldbuilding fun, and offer your ideas for a maximum representation show!

Poetry in Microfunding:
"Strange Gratitudes" comes from Polychrome Heroics.  Damask goes home for Thanksgiving, the first time they have seen Maisie's family since the kidnapping.  There are six new verses; meet Damask's younger brother Russell.

Torn World writing update:
Currently posting: "Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal" (fiction).  Approved as canon: "Unicorns on Parade" "Spruce Deer" (poetry).  Back to me for edits: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands (Parts 1-4)," "Winterheart" (parts 2-3) (fiction), "Stinging Like Nettles" (poetry).  Currently in front of the canon board: "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction), "Packet Permissions," "Sweet Nothings," "The Wrong Choice," "Wandering the Heights" "The Slow Hunt" "Summer Wine" "False Papers, True Words" "The Button Box" "Hand-Me-Downs" (poetry). Drafted: "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" (fiction), "The Smallest Invaders"  (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

Weather here has been cold and mostly clear, with occasional rain.  The squirrels and birds are more enthusiastic about the birdfeeders now.  We've already had our family Thanksgiving meal, based on being able to gather the relevant folks at a feasible time; we went out to an Indian restaurant and enjoyed a fabulous feast.  We are so going back there.
