Have you ever read the manga "Fullmetal Alchemist"? The main character, Edward Elrich, has a metal arm and leg (mechanical replacements called "automail.") And his brother, for most of the series, is a soul bonded to a suit of armor. So, in a sense, his brother has a prosthetic body.

Hmm...

Not the whole thing, but I've seen bits of it. It's a famous example. It's also manga, though, which has a very different view of disability than western comics.
