When you privatize repairs through the companies that broke the stuff in the first place, you just incentivize them to break more things.

There's a whole range of perverse incentives related to privatization, with more on the way. My primary objection to "Obamacare" is that it fully enshrines the privatization of health care through the insurance industry, which may be why so many companies are going out of their way to make sure their employees won't get any.

Mine too. That just sucks money out of the system to line people's pockets. If that's allowed, they try to get as much money from customers as possible, and give back as little as they can, which in health care tends to kill people. Insurance companies have turned into parasites. Forcing people to deal with them is a horrid idea.
Totally agree on "insurance" companies. They ARE the "Death Panels".
