I'm very pleased that my LJ tends to be a low-drama zone. It's intended as a mix of professional and personal space, so that fits. I track both the frequent posters and the top-10 tags for practical, professional reasons: I want to see who I'm reaching that responds the most vigorously, and what I'm talking about most often. Frequent posters get a little more weight when they request something -- these are my core audience, people who read my LJ all the time and respond consistently. So I want to make sure they have a good time.
I've also noticed that when I get mentioned on someone else's blog, it is often:
* by one of my most frequent posters
* by someone new who is rapidly climbing the frequency rank
* or in conjunction with a specific project I'm doing.

I see a lot of potentual for "comment whore" drama though.
