Monday Update 4-8-13

These are some posts from the later part of last week in case you missed them:
Read "A Philosophical Discussion"

Read about "Montage Promenade"
About SF Poetry
Crowdsourcing Film Distribution

The April 2, 2013 Poetry Fishbowl has sold out, woohoo!  Polls are open for the mid-month fishbowl theme and the general fund.

This past week, I've gotten involved with a new crowdfunding project called PoetTown. A couple of folks are building a website for sharing poetry, with a lot of useful search and social features. I'm talking with them about further ideas, including possible crowdfunding options for poems as well as the whole site. There's an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign to cover expenses. There's a development blog discussing features, with some terrific screencaps of the site-in-progress. I heartily encourage you to take a look.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"The Honeytrap" is now complete.  There are no open epics at this time.

Torn World writing update:
Currently posting: "Squiggles: Excerpts from Nleimen's Journal" (fiction).  Approved as canon: "Unicorns on Parade" "A Thorny Problem" (poetry).  Back to me for edits: nothing.  Currently in front of the canon board: "Ghost Bat" (nonfiction), "The Wander Tent" "The Strands of Her Necklace" "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands," (fiction),  "Travel, Transition, Transcription" (poetry). Drafted: "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" "Winterheart" "The Museum of Mortality" (fiction),  "The Smallest Invaders" (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

Weather here has turned warm.  Crocus are blooming, daffodils just starting to open.  Honeysuckle and some other bushes are beginning to leaf out.
