How to Deal with Sighted Persons

Advice for blind folks dealing with sighted ones.  Don't read it with your mouth full, or in areas requiring quiet.

I have actually had to explain  some of this stuff.  The visual fixation in particular -- I once spent half a day translating the basics of magic from visual to audio terms for an audio-oriented friend.  My ability to navigate in near or total darkness is enough to freak people out.  And I'm not even actually blind, just have crummy enough vision that I've compensated by using my other senses more than average.

And the tone, oh my gods, the tone.  *cackle*  That's how Rai sounds snarking at the able citizens.
