Serial Poetry Update

My Serial Poetry page was getting very long and difficult to navigate.  Therefore, I have moved the larger series to their own subpages.  The main page has just the descriptions for those larger series now, followed by links to the subpages.  The subpages link back to the main page.  I hope this makes it easier for you to find the poetry you are looking for when you visit my website.  This meets a goal on my list for 2013.

Not just to find the poetry I'm looking for, but to find unexpected poetry to like! As you've just noticed, I followed the links for the Lacquerware series. As usual, the Doctor has been sitting in my head watching.

"lacquerware"
Do you know the connection between lacquer and poison ivy? When I saw "urushi lacquer", my jaw dropped and I went to ask the web. Wikipedia on Urushi-e, Urushiol, and Toxicodendron vernicifluum – lit. 'the poisonous tree that flows with varnish' (< ML ver(o)nix 'sandarac resin').

Yay! I like it when that happens too.
