Hulk and Bruce
... in which Bruce is more of a BAMF than Hulk.  Epic, epic stuff about will, passion, child abuse, and parental footprints on malleable little souls.

It's easy to underestimate someone who is small and soft-spoken.  Don't.  They may be holding some hidden power.

Yeah, definitely needed that right now. Thank you for finding the full version of that scene, I've been seeing two panels with no context going around tumblr for months.

You're welcome!

I'm glad you liked it. I just wish the post had come with a reference to the original source.

Reminds me of the line Bruce tells one of the other Avengers, when asked how he can change to the Hulk on a moment's notice, that his secret is that he's always angry.

Yes...

I always figured that people understimated Hulk's age by a LOT. All the gamma beam did was let him physically alter their body when he fronts. Funny how single-minded people never seem to notice that.

Re: Yes...

Yup yup.

Oh gods, that reminds me of an episode of Mutant X, with a shapeshifter character that was a multiple. I think they did a good job on that one, all things considered, because for one thing, the violent protector alter ego was artificially induced by the scientists working for the evil corporation that had accidentally created the mutants to start with. Anyway, none of the other people he could become were stereotypical of multiples except maybe the little black girl (but only insofar as the stereotype is that there's always at least one child in multiple systems), that is until Genomex tortured him in order to create the large violent protector guy.

I loved that show.

It seems to be prevalent for multiples to include a child, but not universal.

Re: Yes...

Aye. Our system has two, a boy and a girl. The boy rarely is seen even internally. The girl, Molly Elizabeth, is a bizarre child who loves driving the rest of us crazy sometimes. Then we have a few teens. The only adults in our system are not human.
