Half-Price Poetry Sale: Fledgling Grace
The half-price poetry sale has SOLD OUT!  Thank you all for your enthusiasm and support.

This week the poetry of Fledgling Grace is on sale for half-price, since the November 6, 2012 Poetry Fishbowl made the $300 goal.  This fantasy series touches on themes of transformation, diversity, faith, morality, identity, and making the world a better place.

Note that the series has a chronological flow as new aspects are discovered.  Poems that really require sequential revelation are locked until the prerequisites get published.  Otherwise they're available, but if you're waffling over which to pick, it's usually to your advantage to sponsor the earlier poetry first.  Most of the individual poems can stand alone -- I started with almost the last one, because "The Wingdresser's Kitchen" is near the end.  You can read more about Fledgling Grace on the Serial Poetry page.

There are lots of affordable poems and some epics.  Currently available are these poems:

"Wild Hearts Can't Be Spoken" -- Lost souls find love in the unlikeliest places, even in Hell.
48 lines, was $20, sale price $10  SOLD

"Moulting" -- A devil undergoes an unexpected and frightening transformation, but not without help.
Note that publishing this poem will make "After the Departure" and "The Fledging" available for sponsorship, and "Human Heart and Hands" by kestrels_nest will get posted free.
188 lines, was $94, sale price $47  SOLD

"After the Departure" -- An archdemon responds to the events of "Moulting."
Note that publishing this poem will also get "Redemption" by kestrels_nest posted free.
20 lines, was $10, sale price $5  SOLD

"The Fledging" -- The first human gains wings.
192 lines, was $96, sale price $48  SOLD

"Merlin's Return" -- The people of Wales respond to the wings they're getting.
47 lines, was $20, sale price $10  SOLD

"Dark Triangles" -- France bears the marks of many conquerors over the years, but look, they're not fighting now.
65 lines, was $32.50, sale price $16.25  SOLD

"A Stranger Message" -- What does it mean when only one person has a the wings of a given bird species?  This one deals with Mexico and South America.
Note that this poem touches on the same historic tale as Vixy and Tony's brilliant song "Strange Messenger."  *laugh* And they quoted my review on that page.
82 lines, was $41, sale price $20.50  SOLD

"Cardinal Feathers" -- Not all wings relate to ancestry; here's a look at spiritually derived plumage.
72 lines, was $36, sale price $18  SOLD

"Like a Cocky on a Biscuit Tin" -- How do people respond when their wings reveal tenuous, unfamiliar, or suppressed affiliations?  Explore Australia after the Fledging.
175 lines, was $87.50, sale price $43.75  SOLD

"Cohanim" -- Jewish people get around, including into Africa, and oral tradition is made manifest in feathers.
28 lines, was $15, sale price $7.50  SOLD

"Hen-Feathered" -- Usually people's wings are the same sex as their human body, for birds with sexually dimorphic plumage.  When they're not, that can be revealing.  This poem contains a new vocabulary term for "rabid homophobes who are really gay."
60 lines, was $20, sale price $10  SOLD

"Brothers and Cousins" -- Central Europe has a lot of eagle wings, not quite the same, but akin.
42 lines, was $20, sale price $10  SOLD

"Like the Vapor-Ghosts of Hiroshima" -- This is a haunting piece about the wings of extinct species.
70 lines, was $35, sale price $17.50  SOLD

"Fledermäuse" -- Not quite everyone gets bird  wings, and the results are alarming.
83 lines, was $41.50, sale price $20.75  SOLD

"Dancing Down the Sky" -- Native American dancers strut their stuff at a powwow, taking advantage of their new regalia.
96 lines, was $48, sale price $24  SOLD

"The Poi Bird" -- So far it's been one bird species per person, and then the incredibly mixed heritage of Hawaii comes out a little differently.
Note that publishing this will contribute toward making "Cherubim and Seraphim" available for sponsorship.
30 lines, was $15, sale price $7.50  SOLD

"Through the Valley of the Shadow" -- The Angel of Death grants to his servants the wings of vultures.
50 lines, was $20, sale price $10  SOLD

"On a Wing and a Prayer" -- Sheba goes to church, where a miracle occurs.  This is a direct sequel to "The Wingdresser's Kitchen."
Note that publishing this will contribute toward making "Cherubim and Seraphim" available for sponsorship.
120 lines, was $60, sale price $30  SOLD

"Cherubim and Seraphim" -- A new configuration of wings appears, even more spectacular than earlier examples.
Available after "The Poi Bird" and "On a Wing and a Prayer"  SOLD

If a new epic is opened, but not completed, during this sale then it will still keep the sale price of $.25/line until finished.
