There will be a Holiday Poetry Sale from December 17-21.  Poetry from December 2011-November 2012 will be half price.  Please plan your budgets accordingly.  You might want to check the donor perks listed on the landing page to see where you're at in relation to the poetry collections, because those deal with different levels of k-fan contribution.  If you're close to a threshold that you want, the Holiday Poetry Sale is a good opportunity to catch up.

Poetry in Microfunding:
"Within the Wolf's Jaws" belongs to The Asgard Eddas. Read about some starfarers and their interrupted journey.  There are four new verses; explore the friendship between Tyrssen and Darkamber.  "Behind a Great Woman" belongs to The Steamsmith.  Maryam goes to a fancy garden party.

Torn World writing update:

Currently in front of the canon board: "Beached Fish" (fiction),  "Breeding the Perfect Fighter," "The Charity Wall," "Flying in the Wind" (poetry), "Ghost Bat" "Half-Leg," (nonfiction).  Drafted: "Cutting Cords and Clasping Hands," "Like Ash Before the Wind," "From Dark to Bright," "The Inappropriate But Useful Disposal of Lettuce" "A Thin Red Trail" "The Museum of Mortality" (fiction), "Changes in the Wind" (poetry), "Publishers in the Empire" (nonfiction).  In revision at home: "Water Dance," "When the Wind's Teeth Sing," "Raining Kittens," "Finding the Holes" (fiction),  "The Smallest Invaders" (poetry).  Currently writing: "Catch of the Day," "Winterheart" "A Cold Clear Night" (fiction).

The weather here has been variable, sometimes pleasant and other times chilly.  We had a lovely day on Saturday when we went out shopping and picked up a few DVDs to celebrate the fishbowl doing so well.  The downy woodpeckers have discovered that the birdfeeders are full.  I've seen them a few times over the last week, along with flocks of sparrows, some dark-eyed juncoes, and several bluejays.
