Listening for a President

While researching material for a biography class template for the Grey School of Wizardry, I stumbled across this book:
Listening for a President: A Citizen's Campaign Methodology by Ruth M. Gonchar Brennan and Dan F. Hahn

ZOMG it looks like a clue machine explaining how to assess presidential candidates! I was so thrilled that somebody bothered to write that down. And then I saw the price. *headdesk* WHY is this not a cheap paperback?

Great book until I got to the cost. What *are* they smoking and will they share.
*sigh* Honestly.

*makes note to go look in library*
Hmm, it looks like this book is caught in the black pit of “limited availability.” Amazon’s price is also the price listed by Praeger Publishers (now owned by the Greenwood Publishing Group) and even Greenwood notes, “This book is not currently available for purchase online. Please call to backorder.” I’m not terribly surprised that Greenwood isn’t printing more copies, though, considering that the book was published in 1990. Of course, the high prices for the copies that still remain doesn’t help you much. The lowest I saw for a used one was $64.99!

browngirl has the right idea. This one is a prime candidate for library checkout or interlibrary loan. :)
I didn't find any paperbacks, but I did find some at half price.
