Feelings vs. Feels

I've seen "feels" pop up and found it annoying, because it wasn't clearly distinguished from "feelings" anywhere, and just looked like bad internet grammar. But no, there is a "feelings vs. feels" distinction, and it's quite useful. Okay, cool. That can stay then.

I had an inkling that there might have been, or should have been, a difference; but the examples were erratic. Looking back, I suspect that some taggers knew the meaning, while others thought of feelings/feels as synonyms having just seen the new word without a definition.
Good to know. It had been mildly bugging me, too.
