When trouble isn't a demon, even if it looks like it is.

"Some of the nicest people..."

Becoming demonic, or demonic unbecoming.

Poem

Your prompt about demonic unbecoming led to the poem "Moulting." A devil inexplicably begins to sprout feathers, and tries to hide it, but winds up finding help in an unexpected place. This poem is written in unrhymed quatrains.

Makes me think of a prompt I got once during NaNoWriMo that I haven't ever been able to find a good thread to run with for a story: "A character tries to use a device/item that seems to be possessed, but it isn't. What's going on?"

Misappropriation/misinterpretation (I am not sure if these are even the word I want...) of demonic activity seems like it might be an interesting take on that one.
