The weather is cooling off here. We got some rain last night, which is most welcome. Farmers have been knocking down the dead corn for a couple of weeks; we've only seen one truck full of harvested corn. The soybeans have bean pods on them now, and may be salvagable. Our yard is turning green again.

Illinois has a very quiet, very wicked faultline that periodically tears the continent in half. I would really prefer that people not poke Shub-Niggurath with a pointy drill bit.
